Thank you so much for choosing Kissing Gate Photography to cover your wedding. I can’t wait to start capturing the wonderful moments and good times that your special day will bring.
I’m sure you have questions and are keen know how things progress from here. That’s where this page comes in, make sure you save this link so you can come back to it in the future.
1. Deposit & Final Payment Details
A 50% deposit will have been taken to secure the date. The remaining balance will be invoiced once you receive the final photos.
2. Making a Plan
No doubt you will have lots of meetings in the run up to your big day! To make things easier, you’ll be sent an online questionnaire 2-4 weeks before the wedding date. This will then be used to create the photography plan for your wedding day. The final plan will be emailed over to you to view & approve.
3. Do we need to meet before the big day?
Some people are really keen to meet prior to the wedding, others don’t have the time or feel the need. Whether we meet or not doesn’t effect the photos from the day. The online questionnaire and consultation via phone and/or email will give me everything I need to get the best from your big day. Meetings are available on weekdays at either Ilkley, Leeds or Skipton.
4. Group photos
Whether it's a group photo of all your guests or one with your new extended family, group photos are an essential part of a wedding photography plan. In your online questionnaire you will be asked to list the group photos you would like. The group photos always take longer than one would expect, it can also feel quite tiring if you're in every one! My recommendation would be to choose the really essential group shots like one of all the guests and all the family. This will also mean more time for couple photos and more natural photos of your guests.
5. After the big day
All the photos from your wedding day are professionally edited by myself. Anywhere between 1000 and 3000 photos can be taken at one wedding. The photos are edited down to between 200 & 500 photos that best tell the story of your big day. Each of those photos are cropped and enhanced to give a natural, authentic and professional finish. The turnaround time for this process is typically 4-6 weeks and 6-8 weeks in peak season (May - Sep).
6. Nervous about being photographed?
A great way to break the tension is to book a pre wedding/ engagement shoot. It’s a great way to break the ice and is also a good opportunity to discuss your wedding day plan. A sixty minute engagement/pre-wedding shoot can be booked from £100.
